Confederate Reunion Grounds State Historic Site has a lot of historical information. This Historic Site commemorates a place where Confederate Civil War veterans and families reunited from 1889-1946. Now, they are now offering gathering events, family reunions, and special events. The place also displays a Civil War-era cannon, and ruins of structures from the "Roaring '20s" and Mexia Oil Boom.
